Terms of Use
The plain-English rules for using this website. The short version: browse freely, money changes hands on the ticketing systems rather than here, and the care sheets and permit guides are information, not advice.
Who Runs This Site
This is the official website of NARBC, the North American Reptile Breeders Conference & Trade Shows, hosted by Chicago Reptile House and ECO Publishing. The legal entity behind the shows and this site is [NARBC to confirm: registered entity name & state · Q13]. You can reach the show team any time at (708) 932-8044 or through thecontact page. Using the site means you accept these terms; if a term doesn't work for you, the phone number still does.
Using the Site
Browse it, link to it, and use what's here to plan your visit or your booth. What we ask in return: don't feed the forms spam or anything unlawful, don't hammer the pages with automated traffic, and don't copy whole sections of the site or its galleries to republish somewhere else. Quoting with a link back is always fine.
Tickets, Booths, and Money
Nothing is bought or sold on this website. Ticket purchases happen on TicketSpice and vendor booth registration on RegFox, both run by Webconnex, under their own terms and privacy policy; tickets are also sold at the door. Prices, dates, hours, and vendor line-ups can change, and the checkout page always states the final price, including fees. Online tickets are picked up at Will Call, and wristbands are non-transferable, as the tickets pageexplains. Refunds and exchanges: [NARBC to confirm: refund & show-cancellation policy · Q17].
For vendors, the registration packet you receive when you register is the binding agreement for selling at a show. The rules published here are a faithful summary, but where they differ, the packet wins.
The Care Library
The care sheets are general husbandry education written by experienced keepers. They are not veterinary advice, and no two animals are identical. If an animal is sick or you're unsure, see a qualified reptile veterinarian; what you do with the guidance is your own call, and NARBC can't take responsibility for individual outcomes.
The Permit Guides
The state permit summaries and the agency forms we re-host on thevendor page are conveniences, each a snapshot of the rules at the time we copied it. They are not legal advice. Laws and forms change; the issuing agency's current version is always the one that counts, which is why each block links its authority. Every vendor is responsible for their own permits, taxes, and compliance.
The Vendor Directory
The directory lists independent businesses that vend at NARBC shows, with links to their own sites. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of anyone's animals, products, or service. Whatever you buy from a vendor, at a show or through their website, is between you and them.
Photos, Logos, and Content
The site's text, design, and the NARBC name and serpent-and-skyline mark belong to NARBC. Care sheets belong to their authors and publishers. Vendor and sponsor names and logos belong to their owners and appear here to identify them. Show photography:[NARBC to confirm: gallery photo ownership & credits · Q18]. Personal, non-commercial use of what's published here is fine; ask before reusing anything commercially.
Sites We Link To
Links to vendors, Facebook, YouTube, the ticketing provider, state agencies, and everything else beyond this domain go to sites we don't run and can't vouch for. Their content, terms, and privacy practices are theirs.
No Promises
We work to keep every page accurate, and when something is a snapshot we say so on the page. Even so, the site is provided as-is: mistakes are possible, and dates, prices, and rosters move. For anything binding, the final word is the checkout page, the registration packet, or the issuing agency, not a summary here. To the fullest extent the law allows, NARBC is not liable for losses that come from relying on this website itself.[Counsel to settle final warranty & liability wording · Q19]
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of[NARBC counsel to confirm: state & venue · Q19], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site and the shows evolve. The date below moves when we do, and a meaningful change gets a note here rather than a silent edit.
This page is a working draft written from how the site is built. The marked items can only come from NARBC and are deliberately not guessed: the legal entity, the refund policy, photo ownership, governing law, and a review by NARBC's own counsel. They're tracked as questions 13–19 in the reviewer's guide, alongside the privacy policy's open items.
